Comments : A very nice Umbalite garnet from Tanzania that is cut in a calibrated sized oval that should easily fit any standard setting without any difficulty. It has the classic Umbalite colours and there are several needle like inclusions and a tiny white spot. Face-up, these inclusions are difficult to spot and do not detract from the overall appearance of the gemstone. The oval design is a nice and bright, flashy performer. This is an ideal stone for a ring setting.

Comments : A nice big oval fanta orange mandarin spessartite garnet. This is an incredible gem and illustrates why this particular type of mandarin garnet is so much in demand. The colours are rich and vibrant and the design is a combination of a barion pavilion with a step crown. This combination adds flash and brilliance and enhances the colour. This gemstone is very bright with great flash and fire. Using a loupe I could spot a couple of very small minor veils near the girdle but they certainly do not detract from the appearance of the gem at all. A fabulous unique mandarin garnet gemstone.

Comments : Rhodolite garnet of this calibre represent the top end of rhodolites. This beautiful rhodolite is a stellar example of just how good this material can look. It has all the classic colour tones, like deep burgandy and plum. The cut is a very modern oval design and has a low crown profile. I think this gem will make a great men's ring... the colour, size, design and profile are perfect. There is some of the very fine silk and sparkle inclusions that is common to rhodolite but it is hard to spot and does not detract from the overall appearance of this gem. This is a really fine gemstone!

Comments : A gorgeous green Pakistani peridot! This is a very fine gemstone cut in a classical style design. Pakistani peridot is considered among the best peridot in the world and with this gemstone you can see why. The gem is ideally sized and will make a lovely ring. The colours are rich and vibrant and are stunning to behold. To my eye I cannot detect any yellow... if it is there it is very minimal. To me it appears a very pure green and at arms length the gem is a ball of light with the bright green totally captivating. As usual, the pics just don't do the gem any justice... in real life it is so much better. The design is a very bright one and truly works well in this wonderful Pakistani peridot material. This is one peridot that you'll be very pleased with.

Comments : This is quite an exceptional peridot from Pakistan. It is a very lovely green and is eye clean. I have cut it in the Supernova oval which is a top performing design and it certainly brings the peridot to life. Large clean peridot like this one are not all that easy to find. The outdoor hand shots are closer the the real colour of the gem - the gem looks a little darker then it really is in the other pics. This is a very fine peridot gemstone and would make an outstanding ring set in yellow gold.

Comments : Here presented for your viewing pleasure are two very fine Pakistani Peridot. Straight off I want to say that the gems in real life are lighter, brighter and greener then the pics suggest. The green of peridot is difficult to capture in an image and you will be very pleasantly surprised at how much nicer the gems appear in person. The colours and saturation of the two gems are, in my opinion, perfectly matched. The gems are both very slightly included but the inclusions do not detract from the overall appearance and are hard to detect.

I cut these gems as a matched pair, ideally for earrings. They are a calibrated size and should fit any standard setting without any difficulty. At night under lights these peridot gems sparkle and are full of fire, very dazzling. If you have been looking for a nice pair of peridots, I highly recommend these gems as they are very fine stones.

Comments : This is a stunner of a gem. It is the apple green colour that Pakistani peridot is famous for. The photos do not do it justice at all... my apologies. It is cut in an elegant design that would make a fabulous ring stone. I love this sort of design with the fuller pavilion shape... very similar to my "Acorn" design. There is something about these shapes that work well and look the part. There is a very small veil inclusion in the pavilion. This stone is exceptionally bright and brilliant!

Comments : A pair of bright yellow sapphires cut in a Princess Cut style design. Because of their small size, I'd imagine that they would make great accent stones, probably in a ring. One of the stones seems to be eye clean while the other appears to have a veil just under the table. You really have to look to see the veil and the colour and brightness of these gems more then makes up for this inclusion. They were cut from the same piece of rough so they are nicely matched.

Comments : If you are looking for a sweet, pretty pink tourmaline, this one is for you. This lovely pink tourmaline comes from Afghanistan which produces some of the finest tourmalines around. This beauty is a nice soft pink and it has a wonderful glow about it. The Acorn design gives this gem alot of life and it would make a very special ring, probably in a white metal. That would really highlight the pink colour and would look devine. In real life the gem is prettier and pinker then the pics suggest. Comments : When it comes to Smith Bars, a rich green Afghan tourmaline is THE classic stone. There is something about this stone that so well suits the Smith Bar design. Perhaps it is the original crystal shape which is an elongated triangluar prism. This gemstone exhibits two tones of green, a sort of deep lime green at one end changing to a rich slightly blue green at the other. It is the perfect size and shape for a stunning ring, pendant or bracelet.
